To the starting point Perzikkruidweg near the Jagersplas:

From the highway intersection "Knooppunt Zaandam" (A7 and A8) take the A7 in the direction Zaandam. At the roundabout you turn right. At the next roundabout you turn right again on the Veldbloemenweg. After a bridge you turn right on the Leverkruidweg. At the next intersection you see a parking area on your right. Behind it is a small marina. There is a boat-ramp and a kayak pier.

Starting point Landsmeer:

Exit the beltway around Amsterdam A10 at exit 17 towards Landsmeer. Follow the main road north through the center. Turn left on the Sportlaan. There is a sign that directs to the sport location with the same name. On your right you see a free parking place. There is a boatramp and a kayak pier.

Round trip of 24.3 km. (GPS-track)

From the starting point Landsmeer you cross the lake and keep left. The follow the right side. After a short distance you enter a short canal. At the end is a kayak pier where you can carry the kayak across the bike-road. On the other side you keep following the right side. Then take the third canal to the left. After a bend to the left you turn right. At the T-junction you turn left and then right under the highway A8. Follow the bend to the right and then to the left. At the T-junction you turn left on the Watering. A little further you turn right on the Zuidervaart. On your left is a kayak pier at the fuel-station. There is a shop "Bonjour" where you can buy coffee.
After a bend to the right the canal is named Gouwe. The second canal on your left leads to the locks of the Zaan. You go straight on and pass through parkland with flats. After a railroad bridge you see the starting point Perzikkruidweg on your right.
You head north and a little further you pass under the highway A8. Then you turn right to the lake Jagersplas. You keep right and leave the lake on the south side. Then you take the second canal (after the railroad bridge) to the left. The canal runs alongside the railway line. After a bridge under highway A7 you come at the nature area Oostzanerveld. You can paddle around here or follow the GPS-track. You head north on a wider canal and pass under the railroad again. Then you turn slightly to the right and follow the main canal (turn right, then left and then right again). The main canal heads to the east. After a bend to the right, and left, you take the first side-canal to the right. You see the railroad bridge and you go under it. After the bridge you turn right. At the T-junction you turn left. There is a narrow passage at the bridge. At the end of the canal you turn right at the T-junction. After a short distance you see a small kayak pier on your left. Here you can portage to Het Twiske. You go straight on to the lake Stootersplas. At the peninsula on your right there is nude recreation. You go around it and pass Paviljoen Twiske in the corner. You follow the right side around the peninsula. On your right you pass the entrance to Twiske Haven and you head south on the canal. After a short distance you have to portage. Then you take the first canal to the left, and then you turn left again. You keep turning left as all the other canals have very low bridges. A sign directs you to a portage point to the left. You come at a wider canal and you turn right under a wooden bridge. You keep going straight south and cross the lake to return to the starting point Landsmeer. If you started at the Perzikkruidweg, then you follow the right side in stead to the portage point as mantioned in the beginning of the description.
