Starting point Sneek:

Take the beltway north around Sneek. At the roundabout (N354 Scharnegoutum) exit south towards the center. At the next roundabout turn right on the Berkenlaan. After a short distance you turn right after the bridge on the Docter Kuyperlaan. After the traffic inhibitor you turn right on the Foet. Straight on you see a bike-road. At the bridge is a good starting point.

From the starting point you turn right towards the center. At the end of the canal you pass the bridge Laatste Stuiverbrug and you turn right at the T-junction. Follow the canal until you see the watergate on your left. You can go under it and you'll find a kayak pier on your left. You turn right on the Geeuw and pass over the aqueduct. A little further you turn right on the Nije Rien. After two bends you pass under the railroad bridge. You follow the main canal to Oosthem. After the bridge near the church you turn left. When you come at the lake Oosthemmer Meer there is a place on the left where you can go to the side to have a break. You can go for a swim here. You continue across the lake and on the Wijde Wijmerts. After an old railroad turnbridge you turn left passed Nijezijl towards IJlst. You pass the liftbridge and then turn right on the canal behind the center. At the bridge you see the former ice skating factory Frisia. You pass the former factory Nooitgedacht. At the end of the canal you turn left on the Eegracht. On your left there is a public field where you can go to the side. You continue on the Eegracht, and pass the former townhall. At the end of the canal you can turn back, or turn left again under the bridge. Any way you end up at the south side of the town, and then continue on the Jutrijpervaart. At the first junction you keep left. After a few bends you turn left before the farmhouse. After a short distance you come at the lakes Zwarte Brekken. You go straight on passed two small islands following the marked fairway. After the headland on your left you turn left on the Woudvaart towards Sneek. In the city center you turn right at the T-junction. At the next intersection you turn left. At the Laatste Stuiverbrug you turn right towards the starting point.
